Sandupa Egodage

I'm a software engineer with a research-oriented mindset, preparing to pursue a PhD in computer vision and machine learning. My undergraduate research spanned edge-based deep learning for IoT and video anomaly detection for education-facing HCI — two projects that convinced me the most interesting problems in ML sit at the intersection of theory and deployed reality.

I currently build enterprise-grade distributed systems at Altrium, where systems work has sharpened my instincts for reproducibility, observability, and shipping research artifacts that actually run. Previously I contributed microservices in Go and React components at Circles.Life.

I'm actively seeking PhD opportunities starting Fall 2026, ideally with advisors working on computer vision, deep learning, or ML systems for real-world deployment.
